Edna M. Rogers research on shipbuilding and ship captains, 1918-1926.

Essays, notes, correspondence and newspaper clippings gathered by Edna Rogers while researching Connecticut Captains Robert Niles and Seth Harding and their respective vessels. These men distinguished themselves in the Revolution. Mrs. Rogers also researched shipbuilding in Norwich, Connecticut. Correspondence includes letters trying to get articles she had written on both men published. She corresponded with George Goddard at the Connecticut State Library and Natalie Lincoln, editor of the Daughters of the American Revolution magazine., among others. In addition, she collected newspaper clippings about "Old Ironsides" or the U.S.S. Constitution.
